Strive- Giacomo Brunelli, The Animals, 2007-2010
Nature photography done as dark and strange as nature actually is. The animals in Brunelli’s work are dead, or traveling skeletons. Creatures with their own agendas moving through the night. Sometimes they’re domesticated (he photographs cats, for example, but they aren’t “cat photos”), but if so, in this work their wild is visible. Brunelli also does extraordinary self-portraits. See:
